Sadlier-Oxford
--- Lots of online activities. There is a particular good phonics activity. --- Look for the links that say activities.
Adult Learning Activities -- California Distance Learning Project
--- Read stories along with a recording.
--- Many different topics.
BBC Skillswise
--- Lots of grammar and vocabulary exercises.
--- This site is geared towards learning english as a second language but can be adapted for an adult literacy context.
English Zone
--- This is a membership site but offers a few of its activities for free. (look for the icon of the little glasses)
--- This site has all sorts of grammar and spelling activities as well as practical exercises for mailing envelopes and using maps.
English Exercises
--- This site is geared toward English as a second language learners; however, the many of the activities can be used in an adult literacy context.

Richmond Public Library Citizenship Test
--- Excellent tool for Canadian Citizenship Exam study sessions.
Weboogle
--- Play boogle against other people around the world. This is a bit advanced for most literacy students but it is something that you can play with your student together. Tutor types and the student and tutor look for words.

Atwater Library Project - Lifelong Learning Collection
RECLAIM is proud to collaborate with the Atwater Library and The Centre for Literacy to bring our learners the "The Life Long Learning Collection." Materials appropriate for adult literacy learners are available at the Atwater Library. RECLAIM clients qualify for a reduced annual membership fee at the Atwater Library. Membership allows for access to the Life Long Learning Collection as well as full access to the Atwater Library collection. Contact RECLAIM for details.
